I always found pronouncing Kenya rather interesting. According to the Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary, Kenya is pronounced:
a) 'kenja
b) 'ki:nja (in the US)
So actually both pronounciations are correct. The first is correct for British English and the second for American English!
