I agree. There's nothing special about the PH except for the excellent location for tourists. Personally, I'm not a fan of traditional decor hotels (and many others are not) therefore the PH is a modern alternative. With service this lacking, I'd consider the Conrad (old Le Meridien) on my next trip.....
