In Canadian English, it's Muntree all (kind of slurred), not Mon tree all. Very easy way to spot an American. And if trying to make it sound French, the t is silent - an easy way to spot anyone not well versed in French, but pretending to be.
Toronto generally isn't pronounced Toe-ron-to, it's more like Turonno.
And the suburb I call home, Scarborough, locally is referred to as Scar-bro not Scar-borrow or Scar-borough (not sure what it is in the UK though). Even those from other parts of Toronto get it wrong.
And what about Luton, pronounced Luttun? I suspect most North Americans are guilty of that.
