Airtran website/online svs annoyances
I'm becoming increasingly annoyed with Airtran's website and online services.
1. Just now, trying to print out a boarding pass for a morning flight, I go through the online check in procedure, and it never gets to the printing boarding pass part - it offers to let me print my itinerary, and then thanks me for checking in. The option for a boarding pass is just not showing up. I called about it and the agent had no clue, and said there was noone there who could help me. He would not even transfer me to IT or make a note of it. Has anyone ever had this happen to them? What gives?
2. When booking a flight online using my company's A2B number, I have to first log in using the company A2B code. Then later, the website asks for my Airtran FF number. But the trip never ends up under my profile in "My bookings." No reason, just does not. You can call and they will put it there, but it is apparently something they have to do manually. Only other option is to book all A2B bookings via phone, which seems to solve the problem. Anyone know if I might be doing something wrong in the online process, or is the system just set up to not recognize this?
3. Credit for flights. I have now flown 45+ Airtran flights in the last few months and only once have both legs of a roundtrip ticket posted to my account. It does not matter if I check in online, or use Mr. Chicken (UA term - not sure what we should call the kiosk over here), get by boarding pass scanned, or just collected, my flight credits are usually missing. I can understand missing them once in awhile, but at FL missing flight credits is the norm - why?
4. Redeeming credits. Can't be done online. You have to get on the phone and play "what about this, what about that time, try this other set of flights" until you find availability. This last one I guess I can forgive because they are a LCC, but it is still annoying.
Is it just me, or does the above happen to others also?
Now with no boarding pass I'll have to get to the airport early. The ticket counter will tell me they cannot upgrade me - needs to be done at the gate, which they basically will not do in ATL. I'll be really annoyed if I get on the plane in the morning and they fly out with empty business class seats without upgrading elites (happened again last week and two weeks before that). Rant over.
