Someone posted last week that they were told December mailings would contain 2005/6 certs and not 2006/7 ones. The word was that the new versions would not begin to be issued until mid-January.

Today, Parnel posted that the new kits would be available before Christmas and someone else indicated we'd get our email links to the Experience packages -- or the new variants thereof -- by the end of this week.

Combined with the rumour that next year's certs would contain our names and account numbers, all this suggests that the new ones will be custom printed and sent out with new kits after Christmas and in the first weeks of January, for the first wave of elites who have qualified for next year's status (as of what cutoff date, who knows).

This could also mean, if certs will be electronically printed -- that is customized rather than bulk printed -- that the switch over for thresholds earned this year will be this month too. However, the first batch would have gone out, or will be going out as statements were posted last week, and this would trigger the mailing of certs earned since November 2nd when those statements posted. So this week should see those certs arrive, and reveal what type they will be.
