Thumbs up Holiday Inn on the Hill
Hi Allen074,

I had a good experience at the Holiday Inn on the Hill a few weekends ago on an award stay. Seems like it was recently refurbished, and definitely a lot more stylish and upmarket than your regular HI.

They also seemed to recognise my plat status (made a nice change!), gave me an upgrade to a nice corner room on the top floor and let me check in even though it was only 10:30am. Checked out the next morning, and they held our bags until we came back in the afternoon to catch the Metro back to the airport.

Location is good too - about 2 blocks walk across to the Capitol building, then the Mall is right there. Also only 2 blocks from Union Station, which was convenient for getting to/from the airport etc.
