Instead of starting a new thread, let me ask a similar question. Can Mrs. IADDutch use my Diamond status on an award stay? I accumulate all the points, and I have the status. She will be in NYC for a couple of nights, and I'll get her an award room for 40,000 points each night.

1. Do I make the reservation in my name or hers (I won't be there)?
2. If it is in her name, can she use my diamond status to (hopefully) get an upgraded room?

What is the rule with this?
