Ok, I have a friend who I would really like to initiate flying with United. So I'm recommending them to take UA to Puerto Vallarta over AS despite my lack of experience with the latter. It's been years since the last time I flew with AS. The price isn't a factor as both carriers are evenly matched for the dates in question and the connections seem to be comparable out of PDX. This should be an easy recommendation, but just want to make sure my friend and his family (and their infant) travels most comfortably given they don't have any FF status. So is TED the best choice, comfort wise?
