FWIW, the flights to Kangaroo Island on Rex Express are on a Saab 340, although I think that's about the same size as a Dash-8?
We're doing it more for convenience. We're staying in Adelaide the night before K.I., and with the city so close to the airport, we'll be getting up around 5:30am, at the airport by 6, and on K.I. by 7:30 (with a 7am flight).
