We've discussed some KLM intra-European seating issues before. Sometimes, KLM assigns even ST Elite Plus passengers connecting from North America seats in the absolute rear of the plane.
I have never had this problem with KL (although with AF), when I get my boarding passes from NW (if they can print them, which sometimes is a problem), the seats are always in the first couple of rows.
