What about the early London flight that gets in at 11ish? Do they open midfield for that flight? There is essentially nothing after that flight for 3 hours or so............

The 8 am departure is a total turnoff if you need to travel to LHR from London, so have not taken this flight. But it is a nice time to arrive ahead of the rush.......

I was on 919 recently and we arrived with the worst possible timing. I was charging down the hallway as #2 off the flight and noticed the very last people getting off the AMS flight, so we had the entire planeload in line. But it only took about 20 min to get thru.... and this is as bad as it gets from the front of plane; the line behind me got ugly quite quickly. It will take a bit longer if you need to recheck luggage
