Maybe that's because you have never been there or to Tel Aviv?

Tel Aviv is quite different to the rest of Isarel (e.g. Jerusalem). To be honest, I think this plan is totally possible. The amount of flirts you get in Tel Aviv on the streets can only be rivaled by San Francisco and entropy had it right. I believe it now that I have seen it myself. Well, given that they managed to pull Dovster into a gay bar.

There is only one thing - not everyone in Tel Aviv speak English. To be tourist capital of anykind, I think it's important. And the security check out of TLV can be a real hassle too, plus the country's perception of being unsafe due to terrorism.

A big plus for TLV is that shops and restaurants are opened till very late, it's like NYC. The sleepless city has its advantages, plus the mystique feel of being close to the historical / religious sanctuaries. I would go back again if there is such event.
