Good SLR/Laptop backpack for travel?
Hi all
I'm going to travel North-East Asia in the first three months of next year (v. various posts of mine on the oneWorld forum) and am looking for a backpack that can carry an SLR (with one, maybe two, lenses and a couple of filters) and a laptop (15" powerbook), as well as various personal things (like extra clothing layers, guidebooks, notebooks). Ideally, this would be my sole piece of carry-on baggage on c.10 regional CX sectors and 2 QF intercontinentals. As you might guess, I don't want to have to lug around anything more than I have to.
Has anyone got any suggestions for a bag that would fit the bill? I've looked at the Lowepro allweather compurover backpack and various Crumpler bags (e.g. The Champ, Karachi Outpost). I like the Lowepro for the fact that I can strap my tripod onto it, but the Crumplers strike me as potentially having more 'personal' space. I'd be really grateful to hear from anyone who's been through the same kind of thing - maybe with other suggestions (just remember that I'll need to get hold of the bag in the UK pretty sharpish - I'm going on a mini-trip to Bosnia on 30th December and would like to do a test run before my three-month extravaganza).

PS - did a search, couldn't really find anything useful. Nothing really on Google either that did a comparison between bags I'm looking for.
