Sounds like an ordeal, but as someone posted yesterday (Elited, I think it was), you can count on AC staff to work especially hard for us all when irregular operations kick in. ^

Did your luggage arrive when you did?
We were kinda scared that it wouldn't since we 'ordered' it to be brought out to us in T3. I guess the extra 1h+ sitting htere in the plane helped too. So it was a very big surprise that we found it on the carousel in YYZ.

Again, staff were great!
