Agents will check you in any time on day of travel, so no worry there. As for checking your passport, just check with the gate agent before you board and they'll take a look at it for you - then stamp your boarding pass with a 'DOCS VERIFIED' stamp (if they can find it - they're notorious for losing them)
Oh... and, at the moment, web check-in and ITM have different code bases, so even if web check-in fails for some weird reason, try ITM anyway... Better than waiting in line if it works.
