I just received an offer from Amer Ex to get an Plat card (this mailing came after the Dec 1st date for the new rules). The benefits clearly state that you must be flying the airline of the lounge you wish to enter.
I suspect that the agents in the CRC are not well informed on the rules. Before you had to be flying DL to use the lounge either with AmEx Plat or CO PC membership card. Now with PC card working for CRC on CO metal, I guess the CRC agents are assuming that the AmEx Plat card has changed as well. Or maybe they don't care, if the CRC can get a fee from AmEx then maybe they do not care whether you are on CO metal or DL metal.
