I thought that my Dell D600m drew more than 75W. But, I checked today and it needs only 65-70W. So, I am not sure where the problem is.

Has anyone else experienced this before? What could be a remedy?
I had a similar problem with my Sony laptop. Another FT member suggested a solution that has worked every time: take the battery out of the laptop.

The computer is trying to operate and charge the battery at the same time. With the battery out of the machine, it will use all the power to operate. That's been a perfect solution for me. I've been able to watch two movies on a flight without problem: before that I would get the low battery warning in 80 minutes or so.
