Then I'm actually more confused. If you fly 35,000 miles per year, then why cram 50k of mileage runs into January-February, when you could instead do 30K in mileage runs in December-January and get the same outcome? (35K normal + 15k in December = 50K in 2006 for 2007 status. 15K in January + 35K normal = 50K in 2007 for 2008 status.)

I'm not trying to be difficult, but I'm not sure I'm catching what benefit you're hoping to reap.
