I considered staying at Hotel 1929 back in January.. it looked promising and trendy-boutique-ish. Wherever I looked, though, there was always a few negative reviews about the place. Plus, the location is not exactly ideal .. but it truly depends on where you want to be.

In the end, I went with the Intercontinental, which was awesome. The hotel chains sometimes have competitive prices so it's hard to justify paying the same amount for a place that could potentially suck.
