I chose the direct AC flight. Is there any way that I can get the EC to credit me the 40 points I would have received had they not re-routed me?

I've been similarly rerouted in the past (well, put on a different carrier on the same route anyway), and a friendly PM to Lyndsay resulted in a fast and unbureaucratic statement adjustment.
