I agree that the biggest problem with AF and CDG is the strikes.
Most of the times that I travel to or through France is fortunately outside the strike season. Strikes seems to hit when it can annoy more people, like holiday time.
That is why I usual went on SR to Europe, but we don't have this option anymore.
However, AF is not the only airline to have problems, most European airlines tend run into these. Lately SK and BA had has there share of labor problems.
I don't think DL understood these issues, since DL is from the South and have no unions.
