Not quite bitter lemon, but I was flying to IAD a few years ago in Y and after the meal I asked for a Baileys.

"We only have that in FIRST, but I'll get you some" was the reply.

To my astonishment, he appeared a few minutes later with a plastic tub full of Mayonnaise!

Clearly a communication problem, but I was impressed by the attitude of the FA... and I got my Baileys as well.
