Did have success booking the SIMONKENTTÄ - this is the reply I got:
Dear Sir,
Thank you for your reservation. Scandic Simonkenttä is happy to confirm as follows:
Mr Alect 18-23.06.2006 queen superior room with Hlton points, booking number XXXXXX.
If you wish to book and guarantee to have a king superior room you have to pay 50e/night extra charge. Otherwise you can request king superior when you check in, but then it will not be a guarantee we have them.
Aurinkoisin terveisin | Best Regards,
Isn't 50 Euroes a bit steep for the difference between a queen and a king?
I don't want to give you an advice, but just some info. You'd better check, but I think the King should include a private sauna and a bigger room overall. The Queens are pretty cramped, I think. On the other hand 50 € is steep, you
could get some kind of room in Helsinki for slightly more. And 18. is already summer holiday season so there
should be plenty of room availability.
