If you are aware that the receipt is for something that would be rejected if it were explained in detail, then there's no way of getting around it, IMO.

It's entirely different from judgement calls on scheduling and airline choices, where there are usually many variables (i.e., it's rare that there are two airlines with identically timed flights at the same time), and that the cheapest choice, for example, may not work.
