To get lounge access you have to be on the executive floor. At least that's what they told me during a recent award stay. Although I was Gold, they wouldn't give us lounge access unless we were in a room on the Exec floor. Rather than checking into a regular room that was available when we arrived, I said we would wait until an Exec room was available, which one would be as soon as they could clean it. The lounge was very nice, but to go from a regular room to an exec floor room, if they let you pay the difference, is 90 Euros according to the Hilton website. That's more than I would be willing to pay.
