To fly them or not will always remain the customers' prerogative, but FWIW...

Receiving delivery of a brand new A-319 aircraft leased by the airlines, (civil aviation minister Praful) Patel said: "With the new aircraft in place, Indian Airlines will be able to take the competition head on."

"The new aircraft signals a new era for Indian Airlines and the airlines would induct one new plane every month from the latter half of 2006," he said.

The Union Cabinet had recently cleared a proposal enabling the state-owned airline to acquire 43 aircraft from Airbus Industrie.


Personally, I don't see the point of the makeover.
