This sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the United States (excluding residents of Puerto Rico) who are at least 18 years old at the time of entry.

The sweepstakes begins at midnight eastern standard time (EST) on September 20, 2005 and ends at 11:59 p.m. EST on December 31, 2005. Online entries must be received by 11:59 EST on December 31, 2005.

You can enter online or by mail. There is a limit of one (1) entry per person, household, or e-mail address, regardless of how the entry is made. To enter online, go to www.nationalgeographic.com/greatjourneys/, click in the "Sweepstakes" section, and then follow the instructions. You must complete all required data on the entry form in order for the sweepstakes entry to be valid.

One (1) Grand Prize winner will be selected. The Grand Prize consists of attendance for the winner and one guest at the National Geographic Expeditions "Santa Fe Photography Workshop" in Santa Fe, New Mexico from March 12 - March 18, 2006 ("Workshop"), as described in the National Geographic Expeditions catalog (see next paragraph for details). The Grand Prize also includes the following: the winner and guest will be flown into Albuquerque, NM on Sat. March 11 from the major airport closest to winner's home; the winner and guest will be picked up at the Albuquerque airport in a Mercedes Benz; the winner and guest will enjoy a private excursion with Joel Sartore before the Workshop on Sat. and Sun, Mar. 11-12, and will enjoy dinner and double occupancy accommodations the night of Sat., Mar. 11; the winner and guest will be chauffeured to the Hotel St. Francis in Santa Fe to participate in the Santa Fe Photography Workshop; and will receive coach class airfare back to the major airport closest to winner's home on March 18. The Workshop consists of local transportation during the Workshop, accommodations for six (6) nights and meals as indicated in the itinerary. (Approximate Retail Value ("ARV") is $8,000).
