In ANC, bags are sorted onto one of two main belts by a barcode scanner that reads bagtags. After that, the sorting is done manually. I asked a guy in the bagwell how accurate the scanner is and he said "I only have to move a few bags from one belt to the other manually in a shift." His shift is 10 hours...so I guess the scanner is pretty accurate!
