Fascinating. I had a bad AA O experience last month. No credit, no matter how much I tried with the MVP desk. It was just a flat out no to credit for flying AA O.

Glad to hear, though, that others have had a better experience more recently. However, it HAS caused me to fly to NYC for dinner next week to make MVPG, which is nice, but I would have preferred to keep my $200 (plus a dinner at Peter Lugar's).
