I have been a happy Delta flyer for years and I really hope I continue to be one for years to come. I hope I get the chance to meet up with you on a Delta flight somewhere either in coach or up front, It doesn't matter much to me where I sit.

Delta can do whatever it pleases with its program. Like you said, everyone has the option to vote with their feet. I did just that when a Delta agent, in refusing to issue the 50% bereavement credit, told me

"There is no way in hell I am giving you that refund. What business did you have sitting in first class on the way to your fathers cremation? Why did you fly to a state other than the one you live in anyway if your father is dead?"

I was seated up front as a result of the kindness of the counter agent. I didnt even know he had priced my flight at the FFY fare for an extra 25 bucks. He just told me to go get my refund at a ticket office when I got the documentation together.

I did not fly on Delta for 5 years.

I came back because I am always willing to give people and businesses second and third chances.

I think this is a good forum for people to vent their frustrations. Who knows, maybe some action will come as a result, maybe not.

I know, in this situation, I would be irate if my reservation was cancelled because an agent presumed that my itin was created to scam segments or miles as opposed to getting a better fare.

All I am looking for in my quest here is clarification. Can i book a double connection and legally earn Skymiles? If I cannot, so be it. I can plan accordingly.

If in some circumstances some people dont become activists all of us will ultimatly suffer. I hope one day you don't find yourself all "cozy" in the baggage compartment because thats where everyone that doesn't pay full F gets to sit!
