Another "stupid treatment" story...

my brother, sister in law and niece (2 yrs old) came to visit ATL. My brother's back went out while here, but they stayed until they were sched. to leave.

On that Monday, we got to the airport trailing strollers, car seats, and my brother in a wheelchair (!). Their flight was xld, and the best that DL could do for them was a connx through CVG. Again, fine, these things happen.

I asked to use my miles (or segments) to u/g Dave, Cheryl and Samantha since Dave was really hurting, they were having to connect, etc. etc. Flat "no you can't" from the redcoat. "Why not", I asked..."because we might need the seats for someone with status, etc". Left me fuming.

Off we trailed to the gate, with Dave in wheelchair with someone pushing, car seat, stroller, me, Cheryl, Samantha (you get the picture). We get to the gate, to find them seated in F/C.

I don't know if the guy pitied us, or just what happened, but imagine how much better it would have left us to have publicly done this. Heck, they might have even liquidated 3x10K miles...
