I've now probably called about five times if not more, spoken to several supervisors, and still have gotten nowhere. I've been told further referrals were put in, that I would receive letters with the bonuses or telling me when the bonuses would arrive. I haven't even received those letters. I've had supervisors tell me they were going to find out more and call me back. No one has called back. (I've got another one of these callbacks pending now.)
So the one year was in May and here we are, almost in December. I'm really really aggravated with this, especially because I travel on Continental a lot and have already had opportunities when those bonuses could have been used.
Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions on what to do?
This exact thing happened to me. I wrote, I called, I e-mailed. I got the name, date, and time of each inquiry and referred to them on subsequent inquiries. The one year anniv. came up to renew the card, still no goodies, and I called and closed the account and told them this was why. 2 weeks later here came the freebies promised to me 6 months earlier along with 2 extra discount certs good until Dec. 2006 for my troubles. Turns out the $99 companion cert does not apply to int'l travel-it's unlikely I'd ever spend more than $298 on a coach ticket to anywhere in the lower 48 to get the $99 companion fare. At least I got the 2 Pres Club passes which I plan to use this weekend enroute to Quito and back through Houston.
I was using the Diners Club MC to be able to transfer points into CO but now Diners is dropping CO. I hate to get another Chase CO card cuz of their crappy customer service. I have to pick an airline MC to have for those places that don't take Am Ex but there aren't many choices.
