If you're in a noisy situation (bad cell phone connection, loud environment, whatever) the EXP line sometimes ask "did I get that right?". I've had connections so crummy that the computer NEVER gets it right. But most of the time it patches straight through.
You can key in (on the phone keypad) your AA number and PIN (not your AA.com password but your PIN) and bypass the voice prompt. I use this in situations (such as public places) where I don't wish to speak my AA number out loud.
