While you may now be in the top of the heap, there are a lot of others here too. Personally I find I get real upgrades about 50% of the time, I mean to suites, mostly juniors. That is the benefit I cherish the most. But it simply does not happen all the time. Some properties are better than others, look for the number of suites each property has when you book.

The rest of the benefits are mostly in line with the other Gold benefits in my opinion except for the amenity gift and 90% take the 500 miles (or 250 at 4Pts). The Plat prog is not as generous as IC's Royal Ambassador which also gives a free cert for a weekend night (based on staying a prev night) plus free movies and mini bar. But I find the people at SPG to be good to deal with.
