It's a bit of both but usually Merry Christmas. A few years ago oh-so-PC Toronto, my hometown, tried calling the City Hall tree a 'holiday tree' but I'm told it was shouted down pretty quickly.

It makes about as much sense as calling a menorah a 'holiday candlestick'.

Strangely, it's more often white Christians who seem to come up with these kooky ideas. I don't hear Jews, Muslims, Hundus etc. complaining.
