My plan is to dine alone, using a certificate. It will be the first time using restaurant.com so I would like to know if this paragraph is adhered to or can I usually pay with the certificate without any problems when eating alone?
A few times I have been under the minimum $ requirement on a certificate by a dollar or two and nothing has been said to me. It's really up to the restaurant and I would have been happy to buy a coffee or dessert to bring the total above the minimum.

I'd ask the restaurant first (before you purchase) but I would not expect an exception to the T&C.

I've used Restaurant.com certificates dozens of times and never been denied using one. The restaurants have always been happy to accept them. The only reoccuring problem I have is the server at first forgets to take it off the check...
