Travelers: Do they celebrate the "Holiday Season" or Christmas overseas?

I am looking to hear from travelers who have been to Europe and/or South America during the month of December. With their increasingly diverse populations, do they now celebrate the "Holiday Season" like we do here in America. Or do they celebrate "Christmas" like we use to 20-30 years ago before political correctness took over America.

I am not really looking for a debate over the merits of using the word Christmas vs Holiday Season but just observations of travelers who have recently been to Europe, Canada, Central, Australia, New Zealand and South America. Have these previously Christen dominated (but now ethnically diverse) countries became PC and eliminated the word Christmas?
