I'm spending 2 weeks in Australia in January, and would like to have a reasonable way to stay connected to the US. My current cell phone (through Verizon) won't work there.

I came across this company TravelCell. The 2-week rental would be $60, and all incoming calls to the phone would be free (outgoing calls to the US would be $1.79.

Does this seem like a reasonable solution? Might I just be better off getting a phone card in OZ and use in hotel/payphones?
