I'm also researching a similar 6 segment routing (from SFO) last night. Cheapest run I found so far:
SFO-LAX ($138 rt on K)
LAX-LAS ($99 rt on Q)
SFO-SLC ($188 rt on Q - req'd a Saturday night stay)
SFO-LAS ($183 rt on K, $153 rt on L)

I know they're really lame compared to your findings; but I guess you have to dish out extra for SFO/SJC to LAS and back, don't you? Or are you driving up to RNO?

DL does have an OAK-RNO run for $61 but there is NO RNO-OAK. Also, PHX-LAS is about $50 but alas...no LAS-PHX.

I am also looking for more ideas. Let's hope someone else would respond.
