By 'perfectly positioned', do you mean the window is a few inches forward of the seat back, so you can sit back, resting your head in the corner formed by the seat headrest and the wall, and be able to turn your head slightly and have a good view? Which also allows one to lean and rest your head against the side wall if you want to sleep.
Well I like to take photos from aircraft windows if there is anything interesting to snap (can get some good ones of the Chicago downtown depending on sun and approach direction) so for me a perfectly positioned window is one where the seatback is up against the wall with the window slightly in front a la row 34. A bad window seat for me is where the seat back is against the last bit of the window behind and you have to lean forward to get a view/photo. There are probably more 'perfect' rows than 34 but at least you know it isn't a dud.

A note about resting your head against the wall though - because of the curvature of Airbus widebodies, seats are slightly further away from the window/wall which makes resting against even the biggest walls difficult, although on the plus side you can squeeze a small bag between the seat and wall freing up the space in front for your legs.
