I would guess that someone with elite status would get priority for their room preferences, such as non-smoking and so on. (I'm a Marriott Nobody myself; I stay at their properties about once a year on average.

I wonder if that's typical of Florida in general or if it's just the Renaissance? That could ruin my nights

So, as far as I understand, KathyWdrf is being refused a non-smoking room in a hotel which doesn't have rooms where smoking is allowed.
Is it just me or does anybody else see a bit of a contradiction here?
