Efram: This actually happened:

When Office 2000 came out, I went to the local store. Office 2000 Professional, packaged with a Microsoft Wheel Mouse was $30 less than Office 2000 Professional in the "normal" package.

If I tried to buy the normal package and pay $30 less because I didn't need the mouse (and I didn't), I don't think the store would let me get away with it.

They have the right to set the prices however they want. Nobody forces me to shop there.
