OT: Becoming an Airline Physician with AC

Just curious: Besides the obvious fact of getting into medical school first, how does one become an airline physician and specifically with AC?

What specific options of the following does one have in regard to: medical electives? choice of residency? residency options?

Does AC have an apprenticeship program? Do other NA airlines have apprenticeship programs?

Does AC have a specific Health/Medical Department? If so what are their responsibilities? Is Dr. Dominique Tessier (the 'Ask the Doctor' physician in AC's Enroute Magazine) on the AC payroll as one of their physicians or is she contracted? If staff, is she the top physician?

Any advice would be appreciated especially from AC lurkers and staff. Thanks.
