From West London I never pay more than £20 from town and £27 for a pickup (parking makes the fare a bit higher). Ends up being cheaper than the Heathrow Express Ripoff (£14) + taxi. I use a couple taxis services with reliable service, clean cars and decent drivers. Black cabs are a joke in London. For most intown stuff I use Addison Lee.
