Actually EK website says "if a passenger's transit time is more than 8 hours, STANDARD arrangments do apply" ..does not specify what arrangments...again DUBAI STOPOVERS hotel rates is what is advertised on the website! many economy passengers get a 4* star hotel close to DXB if transit time is long.
I had enough discussions over this matter...many private masseges !
I can re-call very well, getting the STPC for SIN in the past went through 3 different SQ offices ( namely SIN, MCT and YVR) handeled by different ppl...none said it is just courtesy service !...this is brings the issue of CONSISTENCY again!
Seems everyone here pays attention to the hotel thing..but not to the other things like ordering a special meal ONE MONTH in advance and just GETTING what you DON NOT WANT exactly
or when i submit 2 online ( through Krisflyer site) complaints and one by mail too..but no answer what soever!
I guess staff at KrisFlyer and FAs label passengers according to how much they pay !!! loooooooooooooooooooool
