Just so you know A321's and 757's do fly out of DCA. And they even fly in the hot summer months there as well. I have flown on the 321 out of DCA many times as well as the 757.

I just left DCA and the HP ticket counter has moved down to the US side of the terminal right next to AC. AC has not moved. HP now uses gate 38 and gate 16.

By comparison, I don't think an A321 flying DCA-west coast could even get off the ground at DCA, though a pilot would know better.
