This is a very real concern, not just for us but the staff also. I was in the PC at DFW last Wed, and asked if there was any truth to the rumor. The staff stated they had heard it also, but had gotten nothing offical. Well now it is official. THe PC staff in DFW thought that it was DL's way of being able to close down the CRC in DFW since they have De-hubbed that airport and only have I think 5 or 6 gates left. Here was the PC's staff take on the subject.
1.) PC gets crowded with NW/DL/AS/CO flyers, (plus others now that skylink is operating you can access E from any terminal at the airport).
2.) DL shuts down the CRC that is about 5 gates down from the PC
3.) CO has to move the PC to the current location of the CRC since that location is bigger.
If this scenario plays out than it looks more like it will benefit DL in that they can downsize their club operation, and it will benefit CO in that they will generate more revenue through their clubs due to the increased usagage by other programs members.
