[This isn't right...see my later post.]
KLM-metal, it's the KLM farecode that matters
NW-metal, it's the NW farecode that matters, even if it's a KLM-ticket.
What's really funky is how messed up the computers are with KLM/NW stuff. I've gotten a few mixups.
a) KLM SFO-AMS or MSP-AMS is missing (never appears in account).
b) KLM SFO-AMS 606 has NW Y (even though I purchased KLM V), so gets 150% EQM. This has happened twice so far.
c) KLM-metal are given 50% EQM incorrectly (Both NW flight numbers and KLM flight numbers post for the same flight)
When only KLM flight numbers are posted to CO.com, 100% EQM is easy.
The tricky part is when both NW & KLM flight numbers and codes post for KLM metal, I think the software currently checks the NW fare code to decide on 50/100/150% EQM. This is incorrect, as the software should give 100/150% EQM for KLM-metal (except if CO codes).
What's missing from the CO.com website:
a) KLM-metal, but NW flight number. I've been told this is 100-150% EQM, but the current software doesn't seem to do this.
b) NW-metal, but KLM flight number. The flight will post with a NW fare code and a KLM fare code (the one you purchased). The NW fare code will control the 50-100-150% EQM.
