Yes, I collect those cards and send them in. My usual complaint is the failure by check-in staff to attach "priority" to gold card holder's luggage. One time someone called me back when they got the card and said it was an error of procedure at CKS which would be fixed. Still - generally they won't do it unless you insist. From my experience, the "evergreen club" sticker fails to get any priority.
Sent in a card yesterday to complain that I can simply not get an Elite flight back to Taipei in the run up to Christmas. Been on the waiting list since early October. London can do nothing. A contact in Taipei has been told by Taipei to phone back regularly to "push". (Doubt it makes a difference.) I've moaned about Elite in another thread so won't go on about it again here.
All-in-all, I'm growing weary of EVA. What with the tacky Hello Kitty plane, dodgy website, the pokey Elite cabin on the London route (not a nice environment plus availability problems), a recent run-in with the arrogant EVA rep at SGN (at the airport, not the office in Nguyen Hue), poor English in their Taiwan call centre (used to be a lot better), and plane changes SGN/TPE which means seat allocations don't stick. I still want to believe, but its becoming more of a struggle. They just seem to be going the wrong way, or at least standing still. My overall feeling is that they are too Taiwan-centric and lack international thinking. Well, I hope I'm wrong and things get better...
