How basic is "basic?" My GF is staying there for 4 nights in January for a conference held at the hotel and the conference rate is $92 for a king bedded room -- some folks at Hyatt offered to possibly lobby to give her a "bit of an upgrade" if I called them and asked. I told them it wasn't necessary, but your post makes me wonder if I should.

P.S. Mildly ironic that during the time she is there, I'll be roughing it at the Park Hyatt Tokyo!
